SAFE AND FAST TRANSPORT WITH THE NEW İZMİT–KANDIRA–KAYNARCA ROAD

The new İzmit–Kandıra–Kaynarca state road project, begun in 2022 with a total length of 59.8 km, is nearing completion. As work continues at full pace on this project — which will greatly ease regional transport — as of June 2026 only 3.6 km remain before it reaches Kandıra centre.

Time Saving: With the improvement and widening of the existing route, the journey that currently takes 60 minutes will drop to 40 minutes.

A Definitive Solution to Kandıra Beach Traffic

Especially with the revival of tourism in the summer months, the visitors flocking to Kandıra's beaches were causing serious traffic congestion in the region. Thanks to the renewed route with increased capacity, this traffic bottleneck created by holidaymakers is being completely prevented. Visitors will now be able to reach the coastline much faster, without interruption and in comfort.

Easy Access to Kandıra Food OSB and Its Economic Impact

Work on the Kandıra Food Specialized Zone, one of the region's largest investments, is also continuing at full pace. The infrastructure works of this enormous project are being carried out simultaneously not only for the OSB area but also on the connecting roads.

The New İzmit–Kandıra–Kaynarca road, whose renewal is ongoing, has the capacity to easily handle the logistics and heavy-vehicle traffic that will arise when the Food OSB becomes operational. Thus, while access to the industrial zone is safely met, possible traffic jams are also proactively prevented.
